Last of 2012
Well, it's not as much as yesterday, but here's my last work of 2012! See you all next year!
Disaster!
Oh no! I snapped my hoop. :-( Oh well. Got a back-up. It's not my favourite but it's better than not stitching!

XXXXXXxxxxxxx......
I'm seeing x's everywhere! I finished all the half cross stitch, three strand light aqua green at the top. And that's the symbol. Only worked on it this afternoon though as this morning was operation clear-the-floor in my room! Semi-successful. I found the floor but buried my bed. Oh well. Not back at work til Wednesday afternoon. Got time left... for more project!

Day 7
Another productive day, I'd say. Only worked on it this afternoon and I've had to stop now because we have company coming. Really getting back into the flow of it.
Frame it!
Finally I've started to buy frames for all the projects I've completed. So far I've only ever framed the ones I've made as gifts. It's not an amazing photo but I hope you get the idea.

Day 6
Day 6 |
The hardest part of this project is the fact that it's the first I've done where I've had to use up to 5 threads at a time. The knots that causes are intense! But I'm impressed that I've managed to keep the back of the project, so far, relatively tidy. Perhaps I'll share at the end if it stays that way!
Current project
Ok, so here's a brief outline of what I've done so far. This project was started 14/11/12 but was stopped 17/11/12 in favour of the Christmas Cake project in my Welcome post. Anyway, here are the first 4 days worth of progress photos for this project. I've been uploading onto some Facebook groups and not telling them what this will be, so I'll not let slip here either.
Day 1, 14-11-12 |
Day 2, 15-11-12 |
Day 3, 16-11-12 |
Day 4, 17-11-12 |
After the completion of my Christmas Cake, I returned to this project and this is the first day's work upon returning.
Day 5, 27-12-12 |
Welcome
Ok, so here goes. My first attempt at a blog.
In the last year I've finished, I think, three projects. It started when I finally managed to get hold of a stand to complete my Wizard project. It took me about 5 years to complete as I kept putting it down for being too bulky and awkward to try and hold properly. I'd not even finished the bottom half in those five years but upon purchasing the frame I completed it within two months.
Because the wizard was such a large project, I selected my Tiger project for on the go. I volunteer once a month in my local Scout Shop and sometimes it can be quite quiet in there. I like to keep busy and so Tiger came with me. I completed it earlier this year and I love the fact that it has the sequins and beads on it.
